Maybe they’ll give Harper a push like they did Revival when they threatened to leave. He’s at least good enough to keep AEW from snatching up. By Gawd, the WAR RAIDERS vs Street Prophets on NXT absolutely rocked! Vince. Just let them be amaze balls in the ring and quit with the constant renaming. ---

Sami and Bray’s shticks are using a lot of TV time involving zero wrestling. I hope they go somewhere with at least one of them soon. I’m also guessing that this is why they moved Elias to SDL. ---

WWE is treading so much water right now. They are really giving AEW the opening it needs, and helping out every indie show out there. Plus they are learning that for some talent, it’s not just about the big payday. Some, maybe many, just want to perform. ---

Third hour of RAW was under 2 million viewers, they lost money in the last quarter and their domestic business is in the toilet. Any other business would be in panic mode and heads would be rolling, starting with Vince as head of creative. But Vince is out there making excuses in investor calls and despite promises of changes, is still playing _ **The Old Man Plays With His Action Figures.** _ ---

I’m excited for the recent NXT callups like War (Viking) Raiders, Ricochet and Aleister Black. I do like the way AJ Styles vs Seth Rollins is building up, and I’m glad to see (Mustafa) Ali getting main event work. Much as I like Kofi, it’s hard to take him seriously when he’s trying to deliver “struggling hero” promos. KO did good as the asshole heel, but Xavier Woods looks like a chump. He can’t knock down KO from behind and a kick to the face seriously injures him? He takes Up Up Down Down too literally. Also, I’m already tired of Sami Zayn’s angle, Bray Wyatt’s Firefly Funtime isn’t clicking for me, and pick a fucking opponent for Lars Sullivan already, even if it’s John Cena. It makes the SD tag belts look like Crackerjack prizes when he dominates the Hardy Boyz so easily. Usually, the “relinquish the belt” angles are more noble, with a launch for a tournament ensuing. I hate rollup finishes, especially when the loser has had a loooooong history of kicking out of such situations. First Revival, then Samoa Joe. That’s the type of finish the two fat guys who open high school gym shows use. No wonder ratings are nose diving. ---

I don’t think they can get out of the Saudi shows. Lars will likely face R-Truth. Hopefully Truth will get a long overdue ppv match out of it, and not just pre-show. The Revival and Gallows & Anderson both turned down contracts, so they’ll be buried until they’re gone. Because that will hurt their value to an AEW audience, right? /s ---

In their normal magnanimous way, WWE is extending the contracts on one of the Revival (I think Dawson) and Harper for injury time. Because keeping people who’ve told you they don’t want to work for you around will surely help morale, right? ---

The beatings will continue until morale improves. Getting off the Fuck Vince train for a sec to give kudos to NXT UK. I love the gritty atmosphere, brutality, and British irony. Jordan Devlin is like a piranha. One of his signatures is the “Devlin Side.” (as in “devil inside” get it?) He’s half the size of Walter, but the two of them put on a sick match. Sick in a good way. They could remake Bloodsport movies. ---

Turns out “independent contractor” actually means “we don’t actually want you to do any work for us, but we don’t want you to do any work for anyone else either, so we’re going to make you sit at home until hopefully everyone forgets about you”. The wrestlers need to unionize and sue the company if necessary, and the people that Vince can’t do without (Roman, Bryan, Orton, etc.) need to have their backs. ---

In other news, AEW Double or Nothing is less than three weeks out now, and here’s the card as it stands; - Kenny Omega vs. Chris Jericho - Cody Rhodes vs. Dustin Rhodes - AAA tag team championship: The Young Bucks © vs. Pentagon Jr. & Fenix - Hangman Page vs. PAC - SoCal Uncensored vs. CIMA & TBA - Dr. Britt Baker vs. Nyla Rose vs. Kylie Rae - Over the Budget Battle Royal; Sonny Kiss, Kip Sabian, Brandon Cutler, Ace Romero, Brian Pillman Jr., Glacier, Sunny Daze, MJF, Joey Janela, Chuckie T., Berretta, TBA Definitely shaping up to be a fun show. Seeing Glacier return to the ring at his age should definitely be entertaining. Okada vs. Jericho (who is now calling himself “the Painmaker”) for the IWGP heavyweight title has also been announced for Dominion next month, which should be a hell of a match. ---
