Due to a last minute change of my father’s plans, all of my family is together in some way, shape, or form and I’m sitting alone in my apartment, hundreds of miles from any of them. I’m going to go hang out and eat with a friend’s family and I feel awkward and embarrassed about it. ---

My roommate’s mother in law is coming over, so I am out of here. Her daughter committed suicide a few years ago, and she has it in her mind that I murdered her. No, it couldn’t be that you yourself are a drama queen and a pathetic slut who was never a role model of any kind. So, to avoid the “I don’t know how you did it, but when I find out, you are going to spend the rest of your life in jail” routine, I will be bailing. I will probably wind up having dinner with a girlfriend at The French Quarter, a gay restaurant in WeHo that serves a pretty decent and reasonably priced thanksgiving dinner to all the boys who ran away from their domineering mommies. Christ, she’s already here. I can hear her cackle from next door. Time to split before she gets plastered. I’m sure one more sexual pickup from the internet will sooth your pain, dearie. ---

You’re very right about that – the MIL sounds more than a bit batty, to say the least! I have no idea why, but yesterday was a REALLY bad day. I actually just sat here and cried for like a half hour, and I NEVER cry. Sleep seemed to cure that though, I’m happy to say 🙂 ---

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. It is the perfect holiday: You eat and eat and eat and don’t have to buy anyone a present. It just does not get any better than that. It was thus extremely ironic that with my shoulder surgery scheduled for Thursday, I was forbidden all food and drink from midnight that morning. The operation was in the afternoon, and once I came around I did not feel like eating. Zounds! ☹ The wife and I shall celebrate Thanksgiving on our own as soon as I can get out again, at some all-you-can-eat buffet, probably the [Traditional Sunday Roast Carvery Buffet](http://mollymalonesbangkok.com/) ay Molly Malone’s, which we’re quite fond of. Better late than never! ---

I tried to go to the Auto Show and when I got down there they only took cash, so I had to come home. Went to it today and had a grand time though. Sometimes it is just our mood.
