Yes, I know his politics are pretty far to the right (even though he describes himself as a conservative Democrat), and he wasn’t too polite to the Dixie Chicks last year. I just like his music. “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue” is a great patriotic tune. “Who’s Your Daddy?” is a lot of fun. “As Good as I Once Was” sometimes makes me laugh out loud (“And I said… Daaaave!”). Any other Doper fans of TK? ---

I’m really not crazy about “Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue”, but I do like a lot of his other stuff. The ones you mentioned, plus stuff like “I’m Just Talkin’ About Tonight”, “How Do You Like Me Now?”, and “I Wanna Talk About Me”. I imagine I wouldn’t see eye-to-eye with him on a bunch of stuff, but I can certainly respect him as an entertainer. ---

I like his music and his politics just fine. Although I drive a Dodge, not a Ford, but I don’t hold that against him. He’s my kind of people. ---

I _love_ Toby Keith. Granted, some of his stuff (cough, the Taliban Song, cough) goes against my most basic political beliefs- but he’s a good guy. His songs are catchy, upbeat, well written, fun, and often funny. I drove three hours this past summer to go to his concert. Let me tell ya- that was one of the funnest concerts I had \*ever \* been to. I even took a video during my favorite song (Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue) which was his final song. Man, I love me some Toby Keith. Plus, he isn’t too hard on the eyes either 😉 And creepy- “I’m just talkin about tonight” just came on the radio. ---

I like a lot of his songs, going all the way back to the beginning of his career. I don’t care about his politics (nor, really, about the political opinions of any entertainment figures). He’s had some songs I don’t like (no surprise – he’s put out a _lot_ of songs). “Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue” isn’t a favorite of mine, not because of the sentiments so much as the lyrics, which cause my inner smartass to spark up: Mr. Keith: “My Daddy served in the Army where he lost his right eye…” Jess’s Inner Smartass: “He _lost_ it? What the hell? Did he leave it on his lunch tray with his retainer?” Mr. Keith: “He wanted my mother and my brother and my sister and me to grow up and live happy…” Jess’s Inner Smartass: “Well, I hope your mother was already grown up before you and your brother and your sister were _born_, dude!” I liked “American Soldier” quite well, though – a lovely patriotic song. I also like a lot of his light tunes (“Whiskey Girl” “I Love This Bar” “As Good As I Once Was” “How Do You Like Me Now” “Wanna Talk About ME” “Getcha Some”). His funny videos are a real hoot. He’s also had some serious songs I liked very much. Probably my favorite of his songs is one of the earlier ones: “We Were In Love.” Really a pretty song, very poignant. He’s also pretty cute, for what that’s worth. ---

I like him some… more his older stuff, actually: “Dream walkin’”, “So happy I can’t stop cryin’” and “Wish I didn’t know” are probably my favorites of his. ---

I love his music, kinda eh on his politics (conservative DEMOCRAT? give me a break). I also would be his love slave, but not only would that piss off his wife and kids, but that would also piss off my husband. I’ve been to Big Throwdown I and II and had a great time at both. I think one of his best songs is one that was never released. It’s off the _How Do You Like Me Now ?!_ CD (imo one of his best), and it’s called “New Orleans.” I get goosebumps every time I hear it. Another one I love is “You Shouldn’t Kiss Me Like This”, mainly because I had a friendship-with-benefits-thing like that about 7 years ago. Love his upbeat, funny stuff too; “Big Blue Note” is cute. ---

'nother TK fan. “As Good As I Once Was” is one of my favorite songs, and “How Do You Like Me Now”. And also the softer stuff like “He Ain’t Worth Missing” and “The List”.
