I can’t believe that anyone would support a $100 §rebate.
How much do you think it will cost us in actual money to even process this fiasco? I don’t know how much it costs to run a federal warrant, but it used to cost $40 for each state warrant we ran for our department (including our staff time, staff time for the treasurer’s office, the real costs of producing the warrant, etc). The federal government is such a model of efficiency that it will probably cost $150 to process each $100. We are going to be losing money on this deal no matter what.
I wish the current government would quit helping us out so much…
