And, how did it go? After effects?

I’ll probably have it done in a few weeks after all the tests, scans, etc. I thought it would be simple, go to doc’s office, lay down and it would be like the biopsy with a few needles inserted.

I have just done some research, and wow, that is some procedure. I will opt for general anesthesia if possible, as don’t want to contemplate what they are doing. 😃

I’ve been in the OR for many, many prostate seedings. Should I ever happen to have to have that procedure, it will definitely be under general anaesthesia.

Sorry I can’t give you any info about the outcome, but please let us know how it went.

My father had it done. I don’t remember if he had general or local anesthesia, but he said it felt like somebody kicked him in the balls for almost a week.

After reading details of the procedure, maybe it would be easier if somebody just kicked me in the balls anyway. Think that would get rid of the cancer? 😃

How long ago did he have it done? Still cancer-free?

I had it eight years ago, took radiation therapy five days a week for eight weeks, and survived this long, so guess I can’t complain. Anything over five years is supposed to be good. Supposedly the insertion of the seeds blasts it out much quicker, and possibly for a longer time.

As the docs have told me, if you have got to get cancer, prostate cancer is the least worst. Wow, that’s a relief.
