Anybody own a Trikke, and if so, what do you think?

Sure you can ride one on a narrow sidewalk, but you won’t get much speed. To get good speed you have to make WIIIDDEEE S curves. (Or maybe you don’t and all the Trikke riders I have seen are incompetent.)
Because they are taking up the entire width of a 12’ wide bike path they are very hard to pass, and for some reason they pay little attention the call “On your Left”
A person on a bike going 20 mph takes up less than 3’ feet of a 12’ bike path. A Trikke rider trying to go that fast takes up the entire damn path.

As far as the Hummer crack goes, I guess you missed this thread about a month and a half ago, where the OP stated as an unshakable prejudice

Numerous posters agreed with the OP.

You should use that as your sig line. Considering how many Office Space fans there are around here, I’m sure you’d get lots of appreciation for the Dilbert-esque images it inspires.
Oh, and I wouldn’t mind having one of those nifty little things either. That is, if I could get it off eBay for under 20 bucks.  So since I’m too cheap, good luck to you Dijon. I’ll be looking forward to your update as well.

Well, sure, the propulsion method of a Trikke would involve a lot of lateral space utilization, but that doesn’t mean that they can’t pull over to the side to let a bike pass. To stereotype them all as people that won’t seems a bit unwarranted.

Yep, I missed it. My apologies for misreading you, if I did.

But (of course) you realize that just because people agree with someone doesn’t make any of them right automatically.

I’ve been very interested in Trikkes but have no experience with them. I await your posts!
