I’ve tried googling the lyrics I recall without success. Here’s what I remember:

\*I’m going to a place where they’ll be no more crying
Going to a place where they’ll be no more dying
All of my heartaches will be over when I get there
I’m going to a place where I can sit down.

This old world can’t offer me nothing but pain
This old world can’t offer me shelter from the rain…\*

It’s for the novel, of course. I want to mention the song being played at a party in 1987, so of course I need to know the artist and the year of release. Anybody with info is appreciated.
