Just hopping in way after interest has waned – saw this last night night and really enjoyed it. I don’t “do” Jim Carrey – the only other film of his I’ve seen is “The Truman Show,” and I saw that on video – but I thought this was really funny.
I didn’t find it too preachy – but I believe in a higher power, even if I’m not of the monotheistic persuasion. I got a little damp-eyed at the end, esp. when
Bruce is listening to Grace pray, asking for help to stop loving him.
There were several extremely funny parts – I also loved the part where
they found Hoffa’s body, “complete with birth certificate and a full set of dental records.”
The casting of Morgan Freeman was absolutely brilliant.

I did not like it. May I possibly incorrectly but nonetheless scacastically quote “when a teenager says no to drugs and yes to education.” Sheesh.
Although I did raise my eyebrows at Jennifer Aniston…Somewhere along the line she learnt to act. Although the role wasn’t overly demanding, she did pretty decent.
The Alrighty then part was funny though.

Saw it a few days ago. The first part (until Jim Carey’s character gets overcome with the complications of omnipotence) was hilarious but the last part was too predictably preachy.
Not a bad way to spend an evening if there’s nothing better on, but not a must-see.
