Someone had a download of this, and I just quit watching. What an ass. If he’d approached me on the street like that, I would for about the first time be seriously considering kneeing a guy in the nuts. The idea of getting people show their bad sides that they don’t think are all that bad is great. Just going up to people and trying to kiss them and all that is just Tom Green. ---

I agree about that part in particular - people have said “wow, he’s exposing blatant homophobia” - but how the hell are you supposed to react when some guy randomly tries to come kiss you on the street? There are lots of crazy people who are a threat who you don’t want that close to you. ---

I didn’t think that seen was supposed to be about homophobia so much as typical hostile/defensive New Yorkers. A fish out of water thing. I thought it was one of the funnier scenes in the movie, especially when the chicken gets loose. ---

I only recall people backing away and making threats. To answer your question, yes. It would be entirely appropriate to shove some woman with unknown intentions trying to kiss you. ---

An unknown woman trying to kiss me would be something to back off from. A weird acting and insistent 6-2 guy who is crossing all kinds of boundaries would be assumed to need much more of a threat to quit. And I know, everyone who isn’t “metrosexual” or “bicurious” is “homophobic.” ---

Oh, and apparently Cohen finally learned a bit of his lesson about punching random people’s buttons, because when he went out after being on SNL, one of them punched back. Repeatedly. ---

And I belive a violent, highly offended reaction from a male to another male’s romantic advancements, however subtle, is still generally seen as acceptable (while women are still expected to be ‘flattered’ by gropes, cat calling, etc.) ---

Check out the link to Hollaback (and maybe ask a few female friends). These guys aren’t all insane pervs and rapists. Well, i saw it last night, and it was funny. However, as others have mentioned, it got a little wearying after an hour. The scene with the USC students was bizarre-these “students” looked like middle-aged men 9beer guts and all); they also appeared to be pretty stupid 9for college students0-were they really students? i can’t imagine undergrads being so dumb. The scene ion the revivakl meeting was bizarre-I had no idea what goes on in these things. Finally-the scene with pamela Anderson-was that really her? was Borat charged with A&B? Again, a lot of laughs, but i can’t imagine seeing it again! ---

Some funny parts, but mostly just uncomfortable scene after uncomfortable scene. I didn’t find it as insightful or revealing as I expected. I think Pam Anderson had to be in on the joke for her scene… ---

Prior to the movie being released, I checked out some of the clips that were available on youtube and found an array of clips that were deleted from the actual movie. [This one](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Md-aQkvUoOQ) had me laughing my ass off… I watched the movie with my girlfriend and afterwards we were talking about what parts had to be made up and we came up with a whole list of them, though I can only remember the Pamela part and all the scenes involving the bear. ---

My expectations were apparently set too high. While I love this type of humor and cracked up at the trailers, little beyond the first half of the movie made me laugh. The evangelists, rodeo guy, frat boys and Pamela were just taking it too far. The naked hotel scence was just… ugh. However, when the politician (can’t remember his name) heard that the cheese he’d eaten was made with his sister’s “tit milk”… aaah, his look was priceless. Some funny parts but waaaay fewer than I’d anticipated. ---
