There was quite a a rupture between Missy and her mother in the finale. I wonder if that will be addressed in the sequel.

Missy is the one whose world was the most rocked and blown apart. Sheldon and Georgie are off on their new chapters, Mary is in a religious spiral, and missy is adrift with no backstop.

I actually was wondering if they were going to end the series with George Sr. still alive and let his death be a post-series event - they nerfed the “Sheldon walks in on his father having relations with another woman” scene after all. But as soon as he got the job offer to coach college, I knew he was leaving the episode horizontally.
