what i meant above is, if and only if the main character has served in the armed forces, i’m guessing it’s Yossarian from Catch 22 ---

Wow, really? Yay! my obsession with Catch 22 finally paid off! I’m thinking of a group of fictional people. (not a fictional group i.e., the International Anti-Beatles Fan Club, but a group of fictional people, say, the Australian Crazy Super-Villains) ---
