I guess great\*\*?\*\* minds think alike. I really had Jeff Healey and “Angel Eyes” on my mind because I heard the song today on the radio. Then I realized the time frame. Plus I saw Healey a few years ago at his bar in Toronto. **Sternvogel** was online when I made my guess. I guess he took off before checking back ---

(as was **RNATB** a couple of hours later). While researching the question about the “major motion picture soundtrack”, I saw that a film called _Rescue Me: The Story of Edmund Fitzgerald_ had been on the drawing board. It would have starred Mariah Carey. However, I never read the linked article until now – turns out the story was [a joke.](http://www.2xy.org/1998/04/11/mariah-carey-set-to-star-in-edmund-fitzgerald-movie/) There is, however, apparently at least one actual documentary on the sinking which features _Wreck_ on its soundtrack. The reason I didn’t specifically reveal this was that I felt that I would have given too big a hint by (correctly) suggesting that the song was based on an actual event. ---
