Has anyone been able to access the site this morning? I haven’t been able to check on my beloved Anarchistic Rogue Nation of Jetalvinasik all day! Or maybe they’ve just decided to overthrow my leadership and lock me out. ---

I was in. My country has devolved from an Inoffensive Centrist Democracy to a Corrupt Dictatorship in a matter of days. But I’m on the way back now, I granted my people’s humble request for a bit less dictatorship. I think I’m sort of socialist state now. Crap. Oh, and can you go to war in this game? That would be awesome. ---

Once you’ve created your nation, look for the sidebar menu, click _Settings_, and in the main frame _Create your own flag_. ---

What should I call my country? I want something Celtic perhaps, or Norse or something. My original idea was stolen by some jackass who describes his country including the sentence fragment “…the latest Harry Potter book is a bestseller.” So I needs a name. Could I change the name later on? Could I change my flag/currency/animal later on too? ---

That little “Harry Potter” bit isn’t written by the user. The computer creates the profile partially based on what your decisions on certain issues are. So, if he decides to encourage everyone to read Harry Potter, that’s what it will say on his profile. You can’t change your name (but you can change the ‘title’…“Federation of \_\_\_”, “Kingdom of \_\_\_\_”.) You can always change flag/currency/animal. Your country should be “The Kingdom of Potatoes”, your account can be Potatoes. That is Celtic, right? ---

This program has the potential to be a really interesting simulation. I got some ideas on the ride home from work, and I’ve gone about setting them up… which means I had to move out of the Sea of Cecil. It’ll be interesting to see what happens if the Socialist Democracy Federation gets off the ground. ---
