Mojo - Thanks, but first I’d have to find three other _players_. But seriously, if I ever scrape up enough for a third controller, I’ll definitely give NBA 2K1 a try.
I just want to say that, in all my life, I’ve never seen the kind of hype that the PS2’s getting for any other system. No, not even the original NES. It’s just unbelievable (over here, some shoppers stayed up until midnight just to buy their _pre-ordered_ PS2s from Software Etc.). And this for a system that doesn’t have a Gameshark (trust me, if you’re as serious about gaming as I am you must have one), a joystick, or even _memory cards_. Among the people I’ve talked to about the system, the overwhelming consensus is that it’s overrated and has a lousy selection of games.
My advice remains unchanged - wait. Wait for the price to go down (anything over $300 is a ripoff), for a good selection of games to arrive, and for the perhiperals to arrive. Don’t be taken by the gullible media again.

“gullible media again”
Seems to me the reason there is a shortage is all those psx2’s being resold. Sunday, there are more than 17,500 ‘playstation 2’ auctions on ebay. Somehow you would think that if it was so great a system, no one would sell it.
