I grew up in a mix of Newport Beach & Costa Mesa. So Orange County, not LA proper. But for travel purposes, I’d probably catch a nonstop to LAX versus a two-hop to John Wayne.
There will likely be a Facebook group set up - if you are on the FB - that will list who plans on attending.

Facebook is something I choose to never deal with. It, and all its works, are anathema, period. I have rather few principles, but this is one I cherish. 
That’s more or less how I feel about a 50th reunion. It’s more convenient to check up on old school acquaintances through sites like Find a Grave or Legacy (how’s that for morbid interest?).
I respect that. My High School class has a FB page too that is set to private and I don’t care to join. The High School itself has an alumni section and a page for each class. That’s an additional place to look.
Figures a guy in your line of work would think that way.
Besides, those folks don’t call you back and bend your ear for hours. Nor flood your inbox w e-mail glurge.

It was last night in SoCal. I was home in SoFL and missed it. As noted in that thread, attending would have been especially logistically difficult even beyond the 2400 mile distance. In hindsight it would have been doable, but hectic.
I don’t know, but I bet reunions beyond the 50th are vanishingly rare. So I’ve probably missed my final opportunity.
As in the “I just realized I’m old” thread, there are more and more of these “last time in this lifetime” events going on, and somehow one becomes more attuned to noticing them. Not the greatest feeling.
It looks like there is a website for my class. It has pictures of my 50 year reunion, plus a list of people who have died, and other stuff. (it is a large class). I see what people my age look like, some good, some not so good.
Of all the people that attended I counted three that I would want to talk to, but even then I would run out of things to say quickly, at least related to the past. It would be.. “Remember when we…”, “yeah that is a good memory”.
