Then snarked when she knew snarking was wrong (because she reported someone else for it). I doubt the SDMB rules allow for return defensive snark and she knows it. To take you example and run (heh) with it: Poster One. If you had no arms and legs would you be worried about trying to get a job? Poster Una Two. I have arms and legs so I can get any job I want. Poster Two looks like a dipshit to anyone that can read. And she aint winning any compassion points with the armless/legless crown either. ---

No I’m totally on board with online friends being just as “real” as offline friends; I met people in the late 80s/early 90s in early online text-based games that I’ve become true life long friends with for example. I’m not even going to pretend I have a healthy or even productive way of interacting with people who are my friends, but I guess for me if a friend of mine decided instead of talking to me about something that upset them they were going to _years later_ bring up their beef with me in front of tons of strangers to embarrass me the last thing I’d be thinking is they deserve my respect. But like I said, I’m not a good model for having a great and productive relationship with friends as I’ve cut off contact with many friends over the years over minor dustups because I have extremely low tolerance for BS like this. ---

Her post in that thread was a little off topic but not up to the level of “being a clueless dipshit.” Every thread in the history of the SDMB has somewhat off topic posts in it. That thread was about interview policies really, not a “pity party for out of work people.” If the thread had been a “pity party for out of work people” and she had made that post in it, I can see the legitimate claim that it was a threadshit, but that’s not what the actual situation was. I don’t think people with jobs should have to be hypersensitive to the jobless in any thread tangentially related to the job seeking world. ---

I then brought up I was annoyed when people eat pizza with a fork since it’s traditionally hand food. I’ve been reading this thread, weighing each post for validity and trying to create a model of what I think was really going on behind the scenes. Sometimes I may take a poster at face value, sometimes I think there might be something I can pickup “between the lines” as they say. I see a lot of emotion coming from a both sides, sometimes warranted sometimes not. Then, I hit this post and I am absolutely fucking stunned. I can not believe what I have just read and my blood begins to boil. I am seriously foaming at the mouth right now and trying to control my temper, but I am losing that battle. And you want to know why I am so fucking pissed off? I eat pizza with a fork. ---

I miss **scotticher**. She’s one of the most loving, caring, wisest people I ever met. I see she’s still a Charter Member, but she hasn’t posted or visited in just ages. I’m sorry I lost touch with her IRL. **Duke** , **Una** , I’m equally sorry a stupid misunderstanding seems to have bolluxed up what used to be a good friendship. It can’t ever be the same, I know, but the latest posts from both of you make me think it might be possible to mend things a little bit now that the air is cleared. I hope so. There are enough bad things in the world. Losing a friendship over a stupid miscommunication shouldn’t be one of them. ---
