There were three different issues being discussed by three different people/groups. Una claiming DSeid was stalking her and Dseid (and others) thinking it was BS Myself (and some others) thinking Una was being a jerk in the other thread but regarding jobs/joblessness/career greatness/something. And somebody else miffed that Una stole money from orphans to buy a Corvette. DSeid had little to nothing to do with the second and third group complaints. For that matter there wasn’t even much overlap between the three groups. Though I think being able to piss off three different groups about 3 different things just from a handfull of posts in one short thread is something of accomplishment. ---

I really don’t get the whole anti-Una sentiment. Granted, for her to respond initially by pointing out that she’s sitting pretty job- and careerwise wasn’t entirely within the hypothetical framework set out in the OP, but so what? It’s an IMHO thread after all, and in no way was she threadshitting that I could see. Sure, she’s been lucky in some ways; one way that applies to the vast majority of engineers, besides innate ability, is _knowing_ they want to do this early in their undergraduate careers, in contrast to most of their undergraduate peers. But as has already been pointed out, she’s been unlucky in other ways. I think you could say the same about most of us. ---
