# Anyone else have an Okcupid account?

So I signed up for this last night and spent most of the night answering those questions they have (the ones that help you improve matches). They’re pretty fun and interesting to answer, I find.
My name there is Chrisln if anyone (who is already a user or becomes one) wants to compare answers and personalities and the like.
Note: This is just for fun to me. I’m not looking for a date or future love interest or anything, so no worries there. I actually heard a lot of people already with someone or even married go there–they just like taking the quizzes and answering the questions.
For me, answering questions and comparing with others is a blast. If you have an account and are not too caring about others seeing it, leave your name here.
Also, what do you think of okcupid (if you already are a user)?

In about 2000/01, there was the predecessor of OK Cupid, which was the SparkMatch. I joined it as a bit of a joke along with a group of mates to see how popular our profiles would get.
After a little while, I got a message from a girl who lived near me and we decide to meet up.
We get married on March 29th this year!!
I have looked at OK Cupid, and it seemes broadly similar, although a bit more sophisticated.
At the end of the day, it’s free and you have nothing to lose, so all I can really say is that the previous site worked (even when you were’t taking it seriously), and so I wish you the best of luck!

I’m a member there under Aesiron and I’ve met one previous partner through it but have had not further success and don’t even know why I keep the account active, honestly. I don’t really do the quizzes unless they’re linked on some other website as a fun time-waster, rarely approach others, and apparently don’t attract them, either, so it’s kind of pointless.

Neither was I! Although having missed the point of the OP :smack: I would add that if the questions are good enough that in comparing them they can put people together sucesfully, they are certainly good enough to have a laugh in comparing.
I do actually have an account on there, although I can’t recall the login details atm. Maybe I will try to find them again.

Yeah, I’ve had one for a couple of years and, as with the OP, I’ve just got it to mess around. The first time I did it, I hadn’t realized that I’d signed up for an account until after I was through with a long quiz. I tend to get bored with the site and not visit for upwards of a year or so, but then I’ll mess with it for a couple of months. Rinse and repeat.
If you’re reeeaaaaaaly interested, my username there is the\_devoted. It’s a Depeche Mode reference.

not that I’ve had much actual luck dating from this site, but I love it! It’s free, and it pretty much does everything you’d want a dating/networking site to do.

I’ve got one and it seems that either the people I’m the closest match with are hundreds of miles away or their system is total crap. I’m not sure which it is.

There’s been a flurry of activity on my stalker’s list and I know who most of them are based on this thread but there’re two who are unfamiliar but seem pretty interesting.
And **Hazelnut** ’s apparently stalked me before 'cause I recognize her picture from sometime in the past. Weird.
