I’m a member, so I _can_ log in. What are guests seeing? I checked my account on that ‘long necked board’ and it still works like it did before – and as the SDMB did before the current issue. So it doesn’t appear to be a Tapatalk problem, but a problem with this board’s integration with Tapatalk. ---

I’m using Tapatalk for Android. It last updated July 14, and there’s no option to update further. It reports I’m using Version 6.0.11 (Build 745). I had a minor problem yesterday with SDMB, and only SDMB, where there was a message no matter what I clicked on that the threads had been deleted. I went to Settings/Apps in my phone and Clear Cache, then Force Stop. Then restarted Tapatalk and it worked just fine and has ever since. ---

And as a reminder , whilst you are in settings , switch the signature ON and set the sig to be a full stop. That should stop tapatalk resetting to “sent from my etc” thus maintaining peace and harmony in the universe. . ---

Strangeness compounded! My iPad is the one having problems as described above. But I’ve just discovered, much to my surprise, that my iPhone using Tapatalk is just the same as it’s always been – no problems. I stay logged in, my Subscribed Threads loads just fine, I can Reply, blah, blah, normal… I had no reason to expect this difference. I experienced problems on the iPad and just had no occasion to use the iPhone version. Until today, sitting in a waiting room. Had only the phone, so I thought, what the heck, I’ll wade through the login several times in a row, I’m killing time anyway. But it opened right up to wherever I left it last time, and it allowed me to read whatever I want, no log in, no issues. I didn’t try to post, but it was so normal that I can’t imagine a failure there. Got back to my desk and real keyboard to post this update. So what’s the difference between Tapatalk for iPad and iPhone? ---

I don’t think that’s it exactly. My trouble is on my iPhone 6s, but my old iPhone 5 seems to be handling it okay. ---

Ok, my iPhone with no problem is a 5s. My iPad is a 2 year old some model I forget, and it is having all the problems described. I’m using it now and I had to sign in twice before I could see my Subscribed threads. ---
