I’m getting two email notifications for the same post if I’m actually on the board at the time a post is made. Is this happening to anyone else, or is it just me?

Yes! I had been getting double notifications for posts, but I just got SIX notifications, all exactly the same.
I guess the hamsters are really working overtime.

It happened again! Two different threads, six identical notifications for each one!

“There may be other replies also, but **you will not receive any more notifications** until you visit the forum again.”
Well, thank God for that! 😉

I often get more than one notification - but not always. As with the old notification system, there’s little consistency. Sometimes posts are made to a thread to which I’ve posted - and I get no notification. Other times I do get a notification. Other times still, I get three notifications to the same post. Other, other times, I get three notifications to three different posts.

Yeah, we know the e-mail thing is wonky. It’s probably due to our poor over-taxed server though, rather than any sofware bug. At least, that is our suspicion. I dunno how we could test that. Sorry for any inconvenience.

No big deal, **UncleBeer.** I found it mildly amusing, which just shows how insanely bored I am after three days of being stuck in the house by the snow. Thank God the kids are going back to school today.

There’s the key, right there. While you’re still on the board, you’re visiting the forum again every time you click on anything. So every new thread opened, every reply posted, every profile viewed, can potentially lead to a new notification.

Ah, if only that _were_ the key! I’ve gotten multiple emails while having no browser open, let alone being on the board.
