Comrades! Comrades! In your understandable zeal to reject bourgeois stereotypes in your version of the joke, you are all forgetting one impoprtant thing. A joke like this is intended to raise a laugh at the expense of the people portrayed in it, and we should not be laughing at members of the working class. Instead, let me work it this way: Three capitalists, idling in their club after exploiting the masses, and indulging in luxuries bought with their unearned incomes from surplus value created by the toil of the working class … ---
