> I caught a little bit of _Billion Dollar Brain_ on TV today, it’s the third of the Michael Caine/“Harry Palmer” spy thrillers made in the '60s. I checked the Wikipedia entry and found out it was the last role for the female lead, [Françoise Dorléac](https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0233753/?ref_=tt_cl_t5). She was 25, killed in a car accident before the film was released.

She was also Catherine Deneuve’s sister.

> [Juanin Clay](https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0165536/). She was in the running to play Col. Deering in _Buck Rogers in the 25th Century_; didn’t get that part but had a prominent guest role in one episode, and was in _WarGames_ as one of the staff of the war room inside Cheyenne Mountain. Died at 45; according to IMDb it was a heart ailment complicated by breast cancer.

Whenever I watch _War Games_ I always notice her and wonder why I didn’t see her in anything else. Sad. I thought she had a wonderful presence.
