# Anyone ever had a "surgical matrixectomy"?  (Surgical removal of a deformed toenail)

Like **JC** , I’ve had both big toenails done, but several years apart and by different pods. Left foot first, due to fungus; right foot was relatively recent, due to damage so severe that the nail was pretty much permanently separated from the bed.

Both pods used a laser in addition to the acid.
