Anyone feeling buyers remorse about Obama yet?

And the crybaby righties keep bleating about how this is a left wing board.
Obama’s problem is he listened too much to the righties who spent 8 years screwing everything up. TARP is a Bush baby ,don’t hang that mess on the Dems. The reason it was needed was Bush’s fault. The lack of regulation was a right wing meme about a self correcting economy that could never go wrong. The right/libertarian crap fest resulted in a crumbling of the world economy. That was something for righties to be proud of ,wasn’t it? Now Obama was supposed to discover a painless way to fix the mess. Sorry, it does not exist.
I have huge remorse that people were dumb enough to elect Bush. I have remorse that Obama was not able to set America on a proper course because the Repubs drove it off the track. He has had to keep applying band aids to stop the bleeding. It has been a thankless job.

Pardon me, you appear to have something on your chin.

On the Rage of Gibbs | HuffPost Latest News This why we have remorse. Obama promised to try to change the system.
The repubs don’t mind an ownership society. They are able to convince themselves that their interests are being served in the long run. They are getting screwed now, but someday they will be on top and they will get the spoils. They identify with the rich. The rich don’t know who they are though.

I still have no remorse. I have a slight bit of disappointment, but then I imagine where we would be right now if Grampy McSame and Caribou Barbie were in charge and I thank the universe that we elected Obama instead.

I must agree.

Although I’ve likened Obama to Bush in blackface here and elsewhere, the prospect of Vice-President Palin moving into the Oval Office after McCain has his third coronary three months into office is daunting. She could make Cheney look good.

Cheney was much scarier than Palin. She is stupid and would have been overwhelmed by the position. She would have deferred to the president and his staff to run everything.
Cheney is smart and has made decisions toward a goal he believes in. He is a spokesman for the few at the top gathering more and more power and wealth because they are special and appointed by god to run the world. He is dangerous. But Palin is more like Angle. If you listen to her at all, you will dismiss her as an incompetent and a near idiot. She is more like political comedy relief. They say such absurd things that they are funny.
Cheney was never funny. He was and is dangerous.

I likewise agree.

In the comparison between “what I hoped Obama would do” versus “what Obama has done so far”, I have been somewhat disappointed in several areas where he has either done nothing or not done enough to improve things.

In the comparison between “where we are now” and “where I think we’d be with McCain in the White House”, I cannot thank God, the assembled ranks of celestials and the ghost of Thomas Jefferson enough that Obama won the election. McCain can’t even handle his re-election campaign properly, let alone a country in freefall.

And that’s not even considering the Sarah Palin factor, although to be fair I’ve never liked Biden much as a VP choice either.

I voted for Obama - he was not my choice coming out of the Democratic primaries, but I liked him enough and got on board. I was skeptical of his political skillset and if anything, I am more impressed with him. He got UHC passed, which seemed almost impossible as it progressed. I never thought he farted fairy dust and walked on water, and he’s certainly showed that he’s human. But I have absolutely no buyer’s remorse.

And I’m voting for him in 2012, partly because I think he’s doing well, and because he is light years better than the alternative. I’ve never voted Republican beyond local offices, but the GOP is such a joke and an embarrassment I could not fathom anyone even remotely garnering my interest. He could jack off every day in the Oval Office until 2012 and I doubt I’d even be slightly inclined to look at a GOP or tea party candidate.

If only Clinton did that.

No remorse here either. He seems to have lost some steam over two years–likely the result of the reality of office setting in. But I simply refuse to be baited by my Republican/right-leaning associates for any of his shortcomings. I simply reply, “What choice did The Right give us? A dying man and an imbicile–no, no remorse at all.”

Had they put Powell on the ballot I might not be so firm in my conviction that Obama was the best option available. But they didn’t.

Checkin’ back to say that I’m still feeling no remorse. The insane obstructionism and conspiracy theory of the Republican-Tea Party just makes Obama’s successes all the more impressive.

Count me impressed. Twice.
