McVities Rich Tea biscuits are the greatest biscuits ever made. You can get imitations in supermarkets that are 90% as good. But that last 10% is worth it. McVities products in general are the gold standard of British biscuits. (I should point out that I am not in any way affiliated with McVities or whatever sinister multinational actually owns them.)

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, a word please. Someone once said of chic, “One cannot be chic now and again. One either is or isn’t.” Victoria Beckham is chic. You two are not. Please don’t try.

And boo to the person upthread who mentioned an “ugly” kid on the balcony, if they meant Lady Louise.

As for Sir Elton, perhaps it was more his being emotional than stumbling over unfamiliar lyrics. He probably thought that when this day came, he would be sharing it with Diana.
