It took me a while to figure it, but I think I got it right now
This happens to me all the time. There’s no political motivation or anything behind it, I just get sick of hearing the words over and over and over. Same thing happened with “nine-eleven” and… well, other ones that I can’t remember now. Any long-term news story, basically.
I’ve always preferred the “NBC(sometimes W)s.” Nuclear, Biological, Chemical, (Weapons).
I think we need to stay on this issue for a number of reasons. One, the credibility of US intelligence (and other nations) agencies. Two, the possibility that Iraq’s NBC material has been exported. Three, maybe GWB made it all up (that’s a favorite around here). I’m most worried about number two right now.
What seperates an ordinary bogeyman from a true world class bogeyman fit for a president, is that the latter is so elusive and ill defined that your child can never really be sure that it is not in their bedroom at night. If it’s not under the bed it could be behind the door. If it’s not under the door it might be under the carpet.
Worried children are manipulable children.
Egads. Another one of those stupid Americans post. I hold GWB and his cabinet personally responsible for whatever NBC material there may be. He can’t have it both ways.
Either the NBCs existed and are missing, haven’t been found yet, or never existed. Only number two gives GWB a chance of redeeming himself.
