I’ve got the hots for [Evelyn Taft](http://www.kcoy.com/content/bio/story.aspx?content_id=34a1373e-e729-4b6b-9031-c8005cd0697a). Technically, she’s not in my town, but in Santa Maria. Why she is in Santa Maria and not in Santa Barbara, I’ll never understand. She was born in the SF bay area to Russian speaking parents and learned English from watching the Weather Channel. I might have guessed that she was Eastern European, but on the other hand, she looks quintessentially Californian. I guess she’s both. ---

She’s good looking. I do think that a news organization should proofread its website material though. Did you notice that Israel, Thailand and Hong Kong were continents? Amazing information! ---

There’s a local news anchor that’s a patient at my office, and he is soooo nice, and his voice is sooo hypnotizing… I’ve developed a little crush on him. I can’t say who he is, though, that’d probably violate HIPAA laws. ---

I’m glad for him that he’s gotten bumped up to doing evening news, but it’s very sad that I don’t get to listen to him wake me up every morning. ---

Far out. [Heidi Watney](http://www.kmph.com/Global/story.asp?S=6991138&nav=menu612_11_1), FOX’s weekend sports anchor, is the looker in Fresno, although this photo does her no justice. In fact, her newscasts rarely do her justice. She is gorgeous in person. ---

I would only know one or two American newscasters, but although she’s not my type as such, I do like Katie Couric (she seems genuinely nice, and I’d imagine she’d be a lot of fun socially). Back here in Australia, I get trouser rumblings for [Lee Lin Chin](http://www.worldnewsaustralia.com.au/anchors.php#leelin) My sister used to have the hots for Jimmy Dibble, an older, very traditional “BBC style” Australian Broadcasting Commission newsreader, and would run out of her room when he was on, screaming “Dimmy Dibble! Dimmy Dibble.” And she was only 23. No wait, 3. 😃 ---

I used to be attracted to a couple of local newscasters. However, once someone on the Dope showed me [French newscaster Melissa Theuriau](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v500/mirace/ryonidotcom/melissa3.jpg), none of the local women seem nearly so hot. ---
