# Anyone have a great apple strudel recipe?

I usually use Granny Smith apples for pies and the like. They have a tartness that works well with the sugar.

I’m noticing these becoming less available here. A lot of older recipes are dependent on them too; if you use the same amount of sugar with a different kind of apple the result is much too sweet.
