I collect lucky Richard Nixon coins, free from a local bookstore. I keep exhausting their Nixon selection and once I had to resort to Harry Truman.
They show a picture of his face on the front, with Richard M. Nixon: 37th President of the U.S.
On the back it says **DICK** and then his years of office as Congressman, Senator, Vice President, and President.
They’re not really all that lucky, or haven’t proven to be at any case, but whenever I have an Academic Bowl tournament or an exam, I always put them at the front of my desk (along with my lucky statue of Hermes) just to be safe.

Being _weird_ in general - does that make all my collections weird?
Cookbooks and recipes. I adore cookbooks and cooking mags. There are about 25 or so proper cookbooks in the collection now, about 35-40 mags and there is also a pile of recipes about 2 inches thick in a large manila envelope.
Eeyore. There are probably about 20 or so Eeyores around the house. Stuffed, ceramic, puppets, window decals… Niftiest one is shen you squeeze him his tail twirls in a circle 🙂
Wolves, buffalo and moose are all much adored. Very picky about what I’ll pick up, but have quite a few pieces.
Hedgehogs. Been collecting them for only about two years, so only have a handful. Too cute!

Small frogs, but they have to look nice–either realistic or nicely rendered. No smiling frogs, fishing frogs, googly-eyed frogs in clothes, or cartoon frogs.
Wooden fish. Just got a salmon wall plaque in Vancouver that I’ve wanted for years.

I collect the little shampoo bottles from hotels and anything else hotles have that are “mini” I have some mini jams and heinz ketchups too. No booze thoughmthats too easy to get at the store.
Also lately after having washed my hair,i will comb it out and all the hair on the comb gets rolled up into a ball I have been rolling. why? i don’t know,I guess I just want to see how big I can get the ball.

I collect people named David. So far I have several grandfathers and great-grandfathers, etc., one ex-fiance, five or six cousins and two husbands – all named David.
The nice thing is that you don’t have to store them or dust them…

Rocks, and not just any rocks. But the super-one-of-a-kind rocks. I’ve been a rock hound since my last lifetime, and lets just say the four years spent at grad school in Arizona made my collection second to the Smithsonian…[sub]I wish[/sub]
But seriously I have a room in my house dedicated to the different rocks and minerals I have found or collected. I have a stone or mineral from every continent on the planet and a few meteorites. I love rocks.

**Shoshana** , those are so cute! They aren’t like mine, though. Mine are more realistic, and they have little bits of string for their antennae. I’d get one of the little ones in about a second, but they’re backordered.

Not so weird, but I collect pez. Love the things. I got about 80 of the things, and they really brighten the room up. People come in and the first thing they notice is the huge wall of pez. Starting to get kind of sick of the candy, though.

I’ve just recently started collecting drinking glasses. I have an Ann. B. Davis (yes, Alice from “The Brady Bunch”) glass that advertises her starring in Kansas City’s New Dinner Theater’s production of “Arsenic and Old Lace”. The other two I have are drinking glasses from the 80s: one of E.T. and another of the Smurfs. This hobby was started only last week.
I also collect rubberbands and add them to my rubberband ball. The rubberband ball is larger than a softball now and made entirely of rubberbands (i.e. no marble in the middle or something like that).

Peanuts, with three or more kernels. Whenever I come across one with more kernels than the standard two or occasional one, I save it, bring it home, and unite it with its long lost genetically mutant cousins. Most people who have seen this collection think that I am nuts.😃 (Jimmy Carter smiley) Some pun intended.

I’ve collected a lot of stuff in my life, but for the last several years I’ve been obsessed with amassing toy and model Mazda MX-5 Miatas.
I’ve got Miata model kits, pedal cars, slot cars, radio controlled versions, etc. I’ve gotten them from not only all over the US, but around the world: Japan, England, Australia, Canada, Holland, Hong Kong, Germany, the United Arab Emirate and elsewhere.
