I signed up a while ago and never really used the account. Now I want to use it. Yes, it says that in the message. I’d like to know if that is in fact the case or if there’s some other problem. If it is the case then I’d like to know why since I don’t think that I’ve ever even posted there. ---

Some boards will purge accounts after a certain time of inactivity. ---

But it’s not purged, it’s sort of semi-active. I can log in, but then I get nothing but error messages. ---

Exactly. It may be that there’s an entry for me in the database but some table has a missing or corrupted record. If I’m banned why can I sign in at all, and why is it asking me to complete my profile? ---

I sent a message, so we’ll see what happens. For some reason the send button on their contact page wouldn’t work in Firefox, so I had to use IE to send it. ---

Their contact button worked for me in Firefox and Chrome, at least as far as bringing up the dialogue box. Maybe there’s something else at work in your machine. You know how poltergeists hate JREF. ---

You’re lucky you are locked out of that den of villainy and deceit! You do know the $1,000,000 Challenge is rigged because Randi is in the pocket of Big Water so dowsers can never win, right? And Randi is a stage magician so his whole life has been devoted to lying to people? And he’s gay, which is supposed to mean something but I’m not sure what? Oh, I see you capitalize the **D** in **Davidm** there. Living a double life there, too? And have you never posted there, or are you in cahoots with Randi and had your record expunged? Why would you do that? What do you have to hide? ---

I’m in! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! They believed my lies! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! 😛 I received an email from them this morning with an activation link. This was followed by some weirdness where it was telling me that I was already activated followed by telling me that I needed to activate my account, but then I suddenly found myself logged in with access to the forums. Maybe it was a problem with caching or leftover cookies or something. **dropzone** , I have no idea why I capitalized the D. Do they maybe do that automatically with usernames? I do found it remarkable that I was the first to register with the name. ---

Hey, I got a warning when I responded in such a a thread I found out about because ATMB was lit up with the do-not-goad affair. Like a schmuck I misread the date of the thread and thought that _that_ thread was still exempt from the hands-off. So I snarked in, pissing off the mods greatly, who justifiably saw it is a kick in their moderative teeth. I didn’t bother presenting my innocence-by-stupidity defense when the dread judgement descended (hey Yom Kippur’s almost here!). It stands readable to all in my profile. ---
