# Anyone have experience with surgery for internal hemorrhoids?

I’m thinking about having it done. I’m not in any pain, but I am sick and tired of getting a copper colored blood stain on my underpants at the worst possible times.

I eat healthy (whole grains, fruits and veggies mostly), exercise, had a colonoscopy (polyps removed) blah blah, so I have basically used up all non-surgical options.

Anyone have it done or know someone who did?

I had it done about 30 years ago. I had internal and external 'hoids. It was almost a life-changing event, getting rid of the pain and everything else that goes with controlling that condition.

The only downside was that first BM after the surgery. They wouldn’t let me go home until I had one. Lucky for me it didn’t have to be a big one. I didn’t realize until later that I could have smuggled one in and passed it off as mine. (Pun intended.)
