# Anyone heard from MamaHen?

She never showed at Lou Lou’s on Saturday and the Chidopers are a bit concerned. Did she get lost? Change plans? Have an accident? Well, anyway my friend Jim from Mpls. was our substitute guest of honor and did his duty to entertain all by picking up all the women and some of the men. (one by one, not all at once)

I haven’t heard from her. But I am reserving worry in favor of frustration for now. I am hoping she just got caught up at her destination due to unforseen circumstances, broke all her fingers so she couldn’t dial a phone, and was in the middle of a city that had no internet access.
If she is safe, then I’m gonna kill her.
Does anyone have Zoom’s (her husband) cell number?

Nope, haven’t heard from her since Thursday night, Callie tried calling her home yesterday but she didn’t answer, I hope she decided to stay with the kids instead of pressing on to the Chidope.

IIRC, she was coming to Chicago with Zoom (her soon-to-be-ex, right?) and her two children to…see the inlaws? I’m tickling my back brain to come up with this, so stop me if I’m wrong. Regardless, the ChiDopers, and other assorted worried parties, are going on the presumption that she got caught up with family stuff, the inlaws have no computer, and she left my and JoeyHemlock’s phone numbers at home accidentally.
It’s not that far of a reach. It could really have happened that way.
However, my fingers are still crossed. Just in case.

Oh Dang! I feel so bad! I headed for Ill Friday as planned. Things were going well until I stopped in Springfield to get gas. It was just me and the kids so I pulled over at a nice place. Well turns out the credit union that has my money has frozen my accounts, something about them not liking me filing for bankruptcy, silly aren’t they? So there I was stuck in Springfield Missouri with no money at all two hungry kids and bad credit cards. I called my Daddy in AZ and he called a hotel, explained to them he had a stranded daughter and they let me stay there and eat at the hotel all weekend on Daddy’s credit card. Then today he came and got me and brought me home. So I missed my own Dopefest and I am miserable about it. To all who showed or worried, thank you and I will catch you next time I promise!!! Ask Greg, I really do exisit! 🙂

I’m sorry to be rude, Sq, but you are **not** a good example. You played a rude, not forgivable (though apparently some have forgiven) prank on caring SDMB people. You set us up to worry. I don’t forgive your worthless excuse for “not checking in” – your original posts were a setup, you should never have done them in the first place… and we **were** set up, and, even though I don’t know you, I spent some time being worried.
In Mamahen’s case, she just didn’t show up for an event.
She didn’t play a stupid “ooh, someone’s knocking” prank. And maybe something is wrong, but, maybe not.
I think postponing worrying can end up hurting sometimes. You are nothing more than a good example of a good reason to not trust someone. Your apology stunk. And I wouldn’t comment, except for the fact that you chose to chip into this thread. Sheesh.
But I won’t stop caring because of one bonehead.
And I’m sure put off by your “hugs” sign-offs.
