I’ve started drinking it. It’s supposed to have cancer fighting agents, help boost your well-being, and even increase your metabolism. Here’s a link with more info: [Matcha - Wikipedia](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matcha#Health_benefits)

Anyone else try it with good results? I’ve started consuming about three glasses a day…and I have felt and seen some positive results. I’ve lost a bit more weight, I feel more alert for longer, and I generally feel calmer and less anxious. Coffee really makes me jittery and irritable so this Matcha might be just what I’m looking for. This may well be a placebo effect…but there’s nothing wrong with that right? 🙂

As long as it makes you feel good. 🙂
But here is a [list](http://www.healthmw.com/20/02/2012/mens-health/tea-side-effects-top-10-bad-effects-of-tea-on-health-49.html) of some of the side effects of drinking tea.
Does not stop me from drinking tea though. Wintermelon is my favorite. Tastes good. Also relaxes me.

I drink a class of orange juice with matcha powder stirred in every morning. Probably not enough to make a difference, to be honest.

Yeah, I’m probably not giving that article too much weight…

Tea may very well have some side effects, but I wouldn’t trust anything off that linked website.

[Yamamotoyama](http://www.amazon.com/Yamamotoyama-Green-Tea-16-bags/dp/B0002G3UY0) is the best green tea.

Cheap green tea, mostly from China, is bitter and can barely be differentiated from jasmine tea. Yamamotyama, which is from Japan, has a sweetish chlorophyll taste and delivers a clean mellow buzz. It’s actually green, which most tea labelled as “green” tea is not.

Celestial Seasonings green tea is almost as good as Yamamotayama.

It’s also not [matcha](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matcha). I’ve futzed around with matcha a bit, and either have or had a nice bowl and whisk. Didn’t devote enough time to it to get properly skilled at getting a nice foam on it. Stuff packed quite a punch, though…
