# Anyone here have a Hybrid car?

…and, if so, how’s it working out for you?

Are the maintenance costs reasonable? Have you had to perform any major repairs?

Are the savings in fuel costs really as good as they sound?

Are there any specific Hybrid models that a new buyer should look for…or avoid?

I don’t have one, but my brother does – he bought a new Honda Civic Hybrid about two months ago.

Haven’t heard him say anything bad about it, and he loves the mileage; he does a lot of highway driving, and he ends up getting around 60+ MPG on the average. There’s a readout on the display that dynamically calculates your MPG based on the type of driving you’re doing.

You might want to search the archives–we had another Hybrid thread about a month ago, IIRC. Those responses might be helpful as well as any here.,
