I hope the court will order a battery of psychiatric exams for both of them. The weirdest thing to me remains not that they’re suffering from what seem to be paranoid delusions but that two people seem to be suffering from _the same_ paranoid delusions. Is that common in marriages where both are nuts? ---

If Randy just tends to feel paranoid or persecuted, then having his wife repreatedly validate his feelings, saying: “You’re not paranoid! It’s the Star Whackers!” Then eventually he’s just going to buy into it. “Star Whackers…” sounds like a Paul Verhoeven direct-to-DVD movie. ---

The Star Wackers need a star chamber of over the hill actors to pass sentences, which would fit in nicely with the recent Hollywood trend of movies like _REDS_ and _The Expendables_. They need a team of hot young hitters, with one who ultimately goes rogue and tears down the whole house of cards. And a bunch of victims, including one who refuses to go quietly, and leads the team on a chase around the globe. ---

The most recent change in Canadian citizenship law makes all people born to a Canadian citizen outside of Canada themselves Canadian. They’ve eliminated all the arcane rules about when you were born, and whether you were legitimate, and whether your mother had been naturalized U.S. before or after you were born – all of that crap is gone. Citizenship is automatic. (Just to keep some confusion, this only applies to the first generation. The second generation born outside Canada needs to take positive steps to maintain their citizenship, including living in the country for some time.) So she can stay, and Randy will have to follow whatever steps are required for the spouse of a citizen. ---
