# Anyone making a road trip this weekend for reasons other than the eclipse?

I was just thinking it must really suck if six months ago you scheduled a business conference in Nashville this Monday.

Headed out for a lakeside camping trip. We’ll have a full house of kids n dogs for the weekend. Not near any of the eclipse swath though. We thought it would be a good weekend because: a) school has started and, b) the eclipse is drawing tourists away. When I reserved online, almost all the campsites were open. Most of the trip is via smaller highways through small towns, so I doubt we’ll encounter much traffic.

My wife just left for a week-long business conference in Ft. Worth. She’s flying, but out of an airport a hundred miles away, or so. Not me, though.

My wife and I drove to Banff, Alberta from Calgary to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were in Calgary visiting family.

I drove up to Providence for the Necronomicom last week and drove back yesterday. I was on the NJ Turnpike during the partial eclipse there.
