If British people can figure out how to pronounce “Cholmondeley” I have confidence they can master “Cruz”.
Incidentally, there’s nothing impossible about a feminine noun (cruz) being used as a man’s name. Several masculine nouns are used as women’s names, such as Consuelo (‘consolation’), Pilar (‘pillar’ - refers to La Virgen del Pilar in Zaragoza), Dolores (‘pains’), Rosario (‘rosary’), and so forth.
