I have reached the Groundbreaker. Question about Parvati and her questline: So I took her to the Lost Hope. I was nice and sensible and made her take a glass of wine and some water, and helped her with some soulsearching, which seemed to do her good. Has anybody tried getting her sloshed and see what happened? I could load an old save and replay, but I feel it would sully the fine friendship I have with my engineer. Apart from combat being to easy on Normal I love this game. Lots of great details everywhere, I just had a hilarious conversation with the guy in the Spacers Choice (“it’s not the best choiiiiice!”) mascot outfit. ---

I love this game, but the “Makes space suits, won’t travel” quest is absolute shit. Marauder is easy, Iconoclast is just A PITA sometimes. Spacers Choice is a fucking time sucking random nightmare. Yeah, yeah, I Googled all the Googles, bought and tried on everything that had the letter “S” anywhere in the description. I have no idea what I used my last playthrough, but that was dumb luck. For such a well-written game to have such a lousy quest blows my mind. I’ve heard “I can’t WAIT to see those outfits!” for the LAST time. I’m gonna go play Borderlands. ---

I just wanted to chime in that I picked up The Outer Worlds around Christmas, because it was on sale and I’d received an Xbox gift card. I can’t say it’s the greatest game ever but it’s colorful, fun, and the humor is fantastic. It’s very enjoyable. ---

I watched someone play it and finish it in twelve minutes. I think it may have skipped a few load screens but still. I can’t get myself to buy a game that can be finished that quickly. Okay, it was a speed run and it even wowed the devs. I would certainly not play it enough to be able to do it! :):):p:p ---

I’ve been playing off-and-on, whenever I can tear my son away from Fortnite long enough to get on our gaming PC, and I’m on Scylla (the third planet I think). The humor is great, like the exchange when you reach your ship for the first time (paraphrasing from memory): [spoiler]“I am the property of Captain Alex Hawthorne. I can only take commands from Captain Alex Hawthorne. Are you Captain Alex Hawthorne, if you know what I’m saying?” “Okay, sure. I’m Captain Alex Hawthorne.” “Thank you. I’m printing you a new ID.
