Hey there, folks, wondering if anyone could help me remember a particular astronomy program I dimly recall watching in my youth, possibly late 80s or early 90s. I’m pretty fuzzy on the details, so I hope I’m not totally wrong, but here’s what I think I remember: [ul] [li]It was viewable (maybe) on channel 38 in Detroit, which I think was actually a station in Toledo or someplace, as it just barely came in (Then again, it’s possible it may have been on channel 56, Detroit’s own public access channel).[/li][li]It had very public access-like production qualities.[/li][li]The host was a somewhat rotund, perhaps mustached man with a gravelly voice but cheerful and friendly demeanor.[/li][li]I think frequent references were made to Carl Sagan.[/li][li]As for the name of the show… my best recollection is that it may have been called something like “Star Wrangler” or “Star Rustler” or something western-themed.[/li][/ul] Sorry for the vagueness, but anyone have any ideas? 🙂 ---

You’re welcome! I immediately thought of the show just from your thread title, but your using the “star rustler” term in the OP solidified it. 🙂 Apparently the show’s been renamed [Jack Horkheimer, Star Gazer](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Horkheimer), but to me, he’ll always be a hustler. (Wikipedia says the reason for the change was that web searches for Jack’s show returend _Hustler_ magazine results.) ---
