I’ve had this toy almost all my life. It’s definitely called “Cubes & Tubes” by Samsonite.
The rubber belt with metal tabs in the elevator has dry rotted on mine. I would love to find someone that could make a custom belt for this. Such a fun toy.
I expect one could be made. Could you post a picture of the belt ?

put them on an image hosting site (eg ImgBB) and post a link to it here.
Just to be clear: none of us can upload pictures directly to the SDMB; it has nothing to do with being a new member. The automated error message that you received, @SBehanna , is unfortunately a bit misleading.
As noted, to share a picture in your post, you need to insert a URL to where the picture currently exists elsewhere on the web; if it’s a picture you’ve taken yourself, this means uploading the picture to a photo-sharing site (e.g., Imgur, ImgBB, Flickr, etc.), and getting the URL from that site.
