I saw it today with my dad. I started to get embarassed when he started singing along to _Hit 'Em Up_, and then I realized that the only other guy in the theatre was singing along to everything anyway.

I didn’t really go expecting a good movie, and I didn’t see one. The story was simplistic and the acting was not good, but that’s not necessarily the actors’ fault - they were working with awful dialogue. I went because Biggie was iconic to my generation and I miss him. I miss Tupac too. The whole East Vs. West thing was complete bullshit and I’m so glad it’s over. Once it got started nobody’s ego would let them back down, and 2 of the greatest of all time (including many, many lesser know people) had to die before it ended.

It did succeed in making me sad towards the end; I’m almost 4 years older than Big ever lived to be.

I’d give it a 9/10 for nostalgia and about a 4/10 overall. I thought they could’ve paid him a little more respect by getting a better writer and director, and probably better actors in a few cases. The girl who played Lil Kim was _way_ hotter than the real thing, though.

Never heard of Biggie 'til he was killed. The buildup for this movie was inexplicable to this old fart, so I asked my kids. Same story.

So there you are, trapped between generations. 😃

I didn’t see it yet. I’m gonna go tonight. I loved and I miss Biggie.

Wasn’t there a moment when Lil Kim was hot? I thought she was sexy in [this video.](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wwNsjlLZ2Y) That was the best quality video I could find, sorry.

I thought she was pretty and sexy and cool in that ghetto hoochie style that a lot of the girls were rockin’ then. Well, actually, they still do kinda rock that style.

I am hoping the film really captures the genuine feel of the era. I am really hoping.

So funny, I saw this thread and I was all ready to gush about how I rewatched the Cary Grant, Ingrid Bergman classic again tonight.

It was fantastic. Hitchcock at his best. So was Cary Grant, Ingrid Bergman and Claude Raines. But I get the impression somebody else has made a new movie?
