Quite possibly not. The evolution of airplanes hasn’t been to require more and more decisions - but fewer and fewer. People no longer dogfight in twin-engine props; they fire missiles from miles away.
It was also a poor depiction of a love story, a poor depiction of an action epic, the only thing not poorly depicted was Biel’s ass, which not only would bounce quarters, but give you change in three different currencies.
I enjoyed this movie and had a great laugh at the end when the AI plane said its last words.
