Wow. This show has gone down hill fast. The lead guy (the young brother) is one of the worst actors ever. We’re talking Vin Deisel bad. The tattoo map must not be very important because he barely ever uses it. The mexican guy is way too peppy. The breakout plan is retarded so far. UGH… this thing has one more episode to draw me in or I’m outta here. ---

I never watched it, because Fox pimped it so hard by the time it came on the air I was already tired of it. But I’m watching this week, 'cos a mate of mine has a small role. He apparently plays a sniper shooting at one of the prisoners. He has one line, something like “I’ve got him in my sights” or something. He’s a bald Black dude. Personally, I’m looking forward to seeing him, but I somehow doubt I’ll tune in after. ---

His plan is supposedly timed to the minute, but it requires that not only every known break cut his way but that every unknown problem has to resolve itself in his favor. ---

I love this show. Seriously. I look forward to it almost as much as Lost. I LOVE how ridiculous it is… but it’s not stupid ridiculous. You’d have to be bat shit crazy to try that break out plan… and you know what?, the main character is played as bat shit crazy confident. I refuse to think he’s a bad actor. I think he’s consciously playing that character as tunnel visioned and desperate. The conspiracy stuff is boring and I’m afraid that season 2 will be all about that because they better break out this season. And season 2 should be them on the run. ---

I like the show, but I have to admit, it makes 24 look realistic in comparison. So many strokes of luck and coincidences…well, suspend your disbelief at the door and it is a fun diversion. Never even thought about next season…maybe he becomes a professional prison breaker or something? Plus, I hope that tattoo is one of those that goes away after a few months. This is the poor man’s version of HBO’s OZ, but still worth hanging in to see how this grand scheme works out. ---

I like it. The unending plot twists _are_ a little annoying, but not a fatal flaw for me so far. I don’t mind the main character’s acting at all. The one who bugs _me_ is the lawyer lady. Is she supposed to be dedicated and intelligent, or street-wise and savvy? She seems to vacillate between the two. She plays the part with a “scratchy” quality to her voice, like she’s trying to sound hip or something. Very annoying. ---

I haven’t watched it. It seemed like a lame premise from the beginning. How many seasons can you milk the concept of a guy trying to break out of a prison? ---

I don’t get her character either. I think it’s so blandly written that she’s desperately trying to make something out of it that isn’t there. Since she isn’t a writer, it’s inconsistent and blah at the same time. I’ve not only suspended disbelief, I’ve expelled it for the duration. Seriously, WTF? But there’s occasional yummy man-flesh, and the older brother looks disconcertingly like a really buff [Nick DiPaolo](http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0228105/) , so that’s sort of hot/weird. I start every episode in uber-cynical mode and find myself literally at the edge of my seat by the final frame, only to yell “come ON!” it utter exasperation at the end. So they must be doing something right! ---

I got annoyed with the pilot episode. The little I know about prison life, I’ve learned from Discovery Channel, TLC, and the History Channel. But I do know that Death Row prisoners, set to be executed imminently, _do not mingle with general population prisoners_. And they _definitely_ do not get work details, like painting hallways, with general population prisoners. Seriously, do you want a condemned man painting your hall? Not a lot of motivation for him to do a nice job cutting in the edges. Also, the attractive female doctor was pretty chummy pretty darn quickly with a convicted felon she was alone in the examination room. Small stuff, but it bugged me enough not to watch again. Plus, it’s up against Monday Night Football. ---

I gave it two epsodes and then pulled the plug. Too implausible for all the reasons mentioned above, plus the idea that people working within the federal government could have planned and covered up such an incredible conspiracy. (I refer you to the aftermath of hurricane Katrina for evidence of the utter impossibility of this occurring.) ---
