It looks like we have enough for a game, even discounting the ‘maybe’ and ‘after the other game is over’ responses. Do we have a volunteer to GM? ---

Diplomacy is often considered the least luck-intensive war game, and rightly so. ---

**London: Spring 1901** “Lord Protector, Sir?” Captain Carter had been the Lord Protector’s aide-de-camp for two years now, replacing Lieutenant Wethers, the post’s previous incumbent, who had caught a sniper’s bullet during the assault on the final Royalist stronghold at York. Carter had been the nearest junior officer to the Lord Protector at the time so had gained the position almost by default. It was not an appointment the Lord Protector had ever had cause to regret - the Lieutenant had proven to be an able administrator and a useful foil for ideas. He could also be trusted to be discreet - running secret and potentially fatal messages to other military commanders and key government figures during the recent Parliamentary crisis.
