Do we even have enough people here to support one? Maybe it would be more like a mini-fest. I think we need to band together here…Don’t you want to be cool and have one all over the boards like those “other” Dopers? You know you do! So anyone who thinks they can make an Edmonton Dopefest, let’s rock! Or, just reply to the thread. Maybe we’ll have to import some other Western Canadians?

[sub]Anyone know how to run a Dopefest, btw? That would be a BIG BIG help here…[/sub]

Well, apparently on Nov. 4 there is a Calgary dopefest, but I’m not totally clear on the details…

Perhaps it’s invitation only?

We _had_ one in Edmonton, July this year. I’m not snobby, either! There’s been a couple of threads on this!

**dcnewsman** is coming to town, we’re meeting on November 4th. See [this](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=93674) thread for details, or e-mail me at the address listed in my profile.
