I’m guessing it all comes down to packaging. I didn’t vacuum seal it or anything, I just used a ziplock bag. During the lockdown, I was able to have wine shipped to Mom but I didn’t touch it myself. I’m in! I sent you 2 emails because I forgot my username in the first 🤦‍♀️ I’m a runner who likes to cook. I’m an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. I like pineapples and dinosaurs. Food is cool, preferably no coconut or raspberry. Shirt size is unisex M or women’s large. I LOVE getting items that are local to the sender, so feel free to have fun with it - I love surprises! ---

I have a cat, but he’s on a special diet, so maybe better not to send food items. He likes catnip toys. I like to paint items such as wooden boxes. I make miniature items. ---

Today is the 10th. I was hoping for a few more people so I’m going to delay the sign-up deadline until 11/15 and ask a mod to add Last Call, sign-ups end 11/15. @EmilyG I am so glad you are in a place where you can have a cat, I know how much you love them. ---

I’m in, thanks for the deadline extension! Female, with way too many hobbies, mostly fiber-arts related (sewing, knitting, crocheting, quilting, embroidering, and historical aspects of all of the above: dream of one day making an outfit for historical battle re-enactor), but also gardening, cooking and baking, light woodworking, rearing caterpillars, nature illustration, omnivorous reading. Another unisex-M-or-women’s-L size here. I love interesting found objects (cool rock? shell? stick? beetle wing? gimme) and handmade things and really good versions of cheap little ordinary objects and gizmos. I don’t mean expensive “prestige” fountain pens and what-not like in the in-flight magazine ads. But if you know somebody who makes what you consider Absolutely the World’s Best Version of a pencil eraser, or native plant seeds, or potholder, or eyebrow tweezer, or kale chips (actually. my kale chips are the best), and you send me that, I will show it off and brag about it till kingdom come. (“Now take a look underneath the feet of the coffee table here, these are a very special kind of felt furniture pads made from Peruvian bast fibers by indigenous growers and they come with their own leather-headed tacks! Isn’t that cool? So much softer yet tougher than ordinary felt. No, they were a present from a Secret Santa…” Believe it or not, my friends actually like discussing that sort of thing. 😆 ) I’m allergic to chocolate but my friends and family are not, and I love baking with chocolate! Other than that, a fan of pretty much any kind of food and drink (except orange juice. Have always disliked orange juice and don’t really know why). Basically, a sucker for anything quirky or unique or local or “artisanal”, not much of a fan of the mass-produced or heavily processed or “trendy”. (Do not look too closely at the recycle bin with all the empty Lipton Cup-O-Soup and Kraft Deli Cheese Slices containers, plz thanku.) ---

I thanked @purplehorseshoe in the MMP but one can never thank people enough 🙂 @Kimstu My friends always admire the Secret Santa things I show off, and are really amazed that it is possible to do one online. Where do you get your caterpillar eggs? I hand raise Monarchs from eggs I find on my milkweed patch. We could have a nice talk about raising those strange little critters 🙂 Again, welcome and thank you to everyone who joined.
