Anyone watching Eurovision?

Sorry to pop in late, but I wasn’t able to post as I watched last night because …

… I was there! My sweet husband got tickets for us as an early birthday present for me and we were in the audience! It was a ridiculous amount of fun to see it all up close and large as life, although I was put off that there were so few typicial Eurovision songs – okay, the unicycle was a step in the right direction, but where were the grandmothers in folk costumes banging drums? Sad.

I thought Lena deserved to be in the top 5, so I’m miffed at how the voting turned out, but meh. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and I was absolutely thrilled to have the chance. Thanks, sweetie!

Y’know, I fear like amanset that the introduction of the judging panel may damage that part of the contest’s charm – that juries may start to say, in essence, “take this[us] seriously, or else!”.
