Apparently Tartakovsky is working on a new season of _Primal_, according to the very end of [this interview](https://www.animationmagazine.net/2024/06/genndy-tartakovsky-looks-back-at-the-magic-of-dexters-lab-and-the-cartoon-boom-of-the-90s-exclusive/) (mostly about _Dexter’s Laboratory_). Everything seemed to be wrapped up in the most recent season finale, so one wonders where the show will go from here. A new setting? ---

Yeah that definitely felt like a series finale. Hopefully the next season won’t be built off the weird Victorian episode. ---

UPDATE: apparently the third season of _Primal_ will debut in January of next year, and there is a teaser trailer. ---

**It’s back!** Though after this long is this a … zombie thread? Still amazing animation. Willing to give the story a chance to grow. Not sure if it wouldn’t have been better to have not reanimated this show though. 🙂 ---

Just saw ep 3. I’m not sure that there is any intention for it to go anywhere, right now it is a vehicle for the animation. That may be enough. FWIW it seems like this is shaping up to be a step by step journey to his becoming a real boy again. ---
