I can say, without reservation or equivocation, that this is the funniest show on TV. Mrs. Homie and I were in stitches when they were making fun of the G-rated dad - whenever something painful or humiliating happened to him, the Johns would go into a torrent of invectives that would make “Jinkies” (from Scooby-Doo) sound like filth. My favorite: when he got knocked into the water and John Henson said “Oh, Snickerdoodle!” ---

\*Wipeout \*is definitely a guilty pleasure in my house. I think what really sells it is the exaggerated sound effects… although the female host is certainly easy enough on the eyes. _Ninja Warrior_ is far superior in many regards, though. I especially like the fact that they occasionally have no winner- nobody makes it through the course… and when someone \*does \*make it through, it’s a huge deal. I just wish they’d show more episodes here in the US. ---

I just wish they’d show more episodes here in the US. Occasionally? There’s only been 2 winners ever in Ninja Warrior. And every event they’ve done has now been shown in the US–it only happens twice a year. ---

I kinda liked _Unbeatable Banzuke_, but I found it to be fairly hit-and-miss. Some of the events were really fun to watch (like the bike events, which were simply amazing), but others were kind of boring. I thought I’d like _I Survived a Japanese Game Show_, but they really play up the interpersonal conflict. It ends up being just another reality show, and I hate those.
