Where in the Constitution are you guaranteed this libertopia? The Constitution quite specifically says the government has the power to collect taxes from you, and Congress has the power to spend that revenue to promote the general welfare of the nation. As for the the intent of the Founding Fathers, don’t forget that the ink was barely dry on the Constitution when President George Washington declared martial law, and personally commanded 12,000 troops to collect taxes in Pennsylvania. The Founding Fathers were not libertarians, so if that is what you are seeking, there is no reason to expect to find it in America. You don’t love your liberty, you just love your money. ---
